JUST ARRIVED, Mercedes SL55 AMG F1 pace car.

This stunning and rare example is finished in Obsidian Black with Anthracite Gay leather interior, delivered new to the UK on the 30/03/2005 with the rare and desirable P30-code ‘AMG Performance Package (known as the F1 in homage to the 2002/2003 F1 safety car and was a circa £10K option in 2004) including a limited-slip differential, uprated brakes, firmer Active Body Control (ABC) system, revised front apron (front spoiler) and additional oil cooler which helps propelled the cars Performence to 190mph and 0-62 in 4.3 seconds with 5.5-litre supercharged V8 produces 508bhp and 531lb-ft of torque, driving the rear wheels via a five-speed automatic transmission with steering wheel shift buttons (F1 style gear change).

The specification includes heated and ventilated leather electric memory seats, satellite navigation, air-conditioning, CD system, folding panoramic Glass roof, upgraded Bluetooth phone system. The exterior of the car has been sympathetically upgraded with the Maclaren Mercedes SLR style bonnet including side vent details, the wheels are Khan 21inch rear’s and 20inch front’s that are practical not just for the look, I have driven/had a lot of SL55’s and this particular example i really enjoyed its drive and performance!

The History of this car is lovely as it has been part of private car collections and has been used sparingly hence the 30,200 miles it has covered since new, coming with the car are all its original tools and book pack with a stamped service book and original order/purchase invoice to confirm its history and providence. The service book for this car has been stamped at 7,596 miles, 14,290 miles, and 20,061 miles and invoices are present for services at 25,000 miles, 28,706 miles and 28,807 miles, 28,807 miles and was a major ‘Service B and has just had its A service at 29,815 including new front and rare brake discs and pads, oil and filters, front tyres and more which is on the invoice, this was done in march 2022.

I think this a fantastic car and does exactly what it’s supposed to do and more importantly it’s been beautifully maintained and such a fun and comfortable example with a modern and stylish look, I love it.
